One Hundred Ways Home II

This coming 9th & 10th June, I will be having the second installment of our charity art exhibition, 100 Ways Home, featuring works from myself and fellow artist Yin Chua.

60% of all the proceeds from all art works sold will go to helping the water situation in the village of Tekanpur, Nepal and also towards the building of a health post. Last year's exhibition went into building the school for 145 children and the construction is going well with the major building structure complete. The children finally have a place to have lessons after 2 years since the devastating earthquake in 2015. As such we are very grateful for all the support shown!

Moving forward, please join us for a relaxing time of art appreciation, refreshments and discussion if you can.

Mark your calendars for the event :

One Hundred Ways Home

The first in a series of art & design exhibitions that culminate in 100 paintings and objects. Each sold item will help fund the rebuilding project in post-earthquake Nepal. Gentle Beast is working in collaboration with Design X Make X Multiply to build LIGHTER, SAFER and MORE INSULATED (from both heat in the summer and cold in the winter) structures utilizing existing local resources.

The initial proceeds will build the first permanent house in Tekanpur, a mountainous village 2-3H east of Kathmandu. This will serve as a prototype for the villagers to replicate.

Increasingly, we inhabit our multi-faceted natures. We no longer need to be confined by the strict identities of a singular occupation. This inaugural exhibition of art space Gentle Beast Art Club showcases the inner workings of artists who lead double lives. Comprising of entrepreneurs, professors, mothers, architects and a mountaineer who work as artistic double agents, this is an intimate expression of their creative inner worlds.
